CATHOLIC OUTLET DECLARES VICTORY FOR PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT FOLLOWING EXPOSE
HONOLULU, HI — Rebecca Bretten Weiss has been fired from her position as a professor at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, following the release of a hard-hitting expose piece from the founders of the Catholic Outlet, Serviam.
"Serviam welcomes the news that in response to our expose, Franciscan University of Steubenville has announced it will not rehire Rebecca Bratten Weiss, who has been a grave and abiding scandal to the school and danger to students. Will Stephen Lewis, who apparently championed her, and whose wife co-edits an online journal with Bratten Weiss, continue as English Department chairman? Will Lewis hire more people like Bratten Weiss when the heat dies down? said Doug Grane, CEO and Co-Founder of Serviam.
Serviam is made up of faithful Catholic laity actively sharing the true principles of Catholic Social teaching in the political life of our nation. They aim to make authentic Catholic social teachings accessible in the most creative way possible, by encouraging prayers, fasting, penance, and love for one’s neighbor.
